Qatar: Removal of roundabouts to the east and west of Al Mazrooah interchange

 

The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’,  has announced the removal of two roundabouts located to the east and west of Al Mazrooah Interchange. The removal of both roundabouts will be today Sunday 4 November 2018.

This change is designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic to allow the completion of the Orbital Road construction works at Al Mazrooah Interchange.

According to the public works authority, Road users will follow the following directions according to their desired destination:

From Umm Slal Ali area:

Exiting Umm Slal Ali area, road users can directly access the Orbital Road westbound lanes and drive a distance of 4 km in order to reach Jery Al Samur Interchange. At the Interchange they can perform a U-turn and access a temporary road, parallel to the Orbital Road, through which they can connect to Al Shamal Service Road

From Umm Slal Mohammed area:

Road users coming from Umm Slal Mohammed area wishing to reach Umm Slal Ali area facilities’ such as the Immigration Services Centre, the Civil Defense or the Police Department, will Exit Umm Slal Mohammed area and directly access AL Shamal Road Doha bound where they can perform a U-turn at Al Khessa Interchange and access Al Shamal Road towards Al Ruwais. Once reaching Al Sakhama signalized Interchange Road users can access Umm Slal Ali area and facilities.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit which remains at 80 kph along the route, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
